Holiday cookies :)
Nutmeg cookies: 2/3 cups butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 3/4 teaspoon vanilla 2 1/4 cups flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (or a teensy bit more) preheat oven to 400 degrees (f) no need to grease the cookie sheet. cook for about 8 minutes (until the cookies are brown around the edges)

I saw the sweetest thing today in the pharmacy: a mother and her two young sons, about 5 and 7, walked up next to me at the cosmetics section.
